Joe Bale has been Fiji's first-choice tighthead prop for three years. He was a squad member of Fiji qualifying campaign for the 2003 World Cup, but had to wait for Wayne Pivac's arrival before winning his first cap.

Mobile front-rower with good line-out technique and solid work ethic.

He played for Fiji Secondary Schools in 1993 and 1995 then Fiji U21s in 1996 and 1997.

A regular member of the Suva squad since 1999.
